37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a direction to the Centre to amend the RTI Act for fixing time limit for disposal of appeals by the Central Information Commission and state information panels.The plea has been filed by an RTI activist against an order of the Allahabad High Court, passed on October 5, 2015, dismissing his appeal on the issue.
RTI activist Rakesh Kumar Tewari, in his appeal filed through lawyer Shiv Kumar Tripathi, also sought a direction to various authorities in Uttar Pradesh “to supply the information as sought by the petitioner without putting conditions…”
