37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
The Delhi Minorities Commission (DMC) has suggested to the Law Commission to modify the India Succession Act, 1925 and include the transgender individuals in its provisions. Christian transgender people would now be given equal rights with cisgender men and women over ancestral property.
“The entire Christian Committee agreed. We are hopeful that this will be incorporated and the Law Commission clears this recommendation,” Abraham M. Pattiyani said, as quoted by the Hindu Times. Pattiyani is a member of the DMC.
