The Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court has rejected the bail application of a boy accused of abetting the suicide of a girl from his school by circulating an obscene video of a lookalike and passing it off as her video. The case highlights not only the huge jump in cyber crimes and online frauds in the country, but also the apathy and ignorance of the police towards the Information Technology Act, 2000.
