37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
All panchayats in Odisha will have broadband internet services by 2017-18 while major cities of the state, including Bhubaneswar, will have Wi-Fi services in the next one year, the state government decided today.
The decision was taken at a review meeting on the yearly performance of the department of Information Technology (IT) presided over by chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here today.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, IT minister Pranab Prakash Das said the presentation made by the department at the meeting focused on better management of e-governance.
