37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
A fact finding committee of human rights forums has alleged that E. Subramani, a painter of Pattambakkam, who was picked up by the Neyveli Township police for interrogation in connection with a murder case, had died due to torture meted out to him in police custody.
A release said the fact finding committee led by A. Marx of National Confederation of Human Rights Organisations, G. Sugumaran, Federation for People’s Rights and various other forum visited the victim’s residence at Pattambakkam on Tuesday and collected the time-line of events.
