37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
The communications and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday said that over 250 online services have been launched by various state governments and the centre, indicating the success of the government’sDigital India week.
“More than 250 services relating to health, education, public distribution system, Police, agriculture, trade and employment have been launched by various state governments,” Prasad said at a news briefing.
The Digital India week was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 1 in the capital which saw several high profile Indian industrialists and a clutch of foreign investors’ line up investments worth Rs7.72 lakh crore towards Digitising the country.
