The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will take up an e-governance project, as part of which all departments will be computerised and more online services will be available. The project will make the city eligible to be part of the Union government’s smart cities initiative.
According to the civic body, the e-governance project aims at bringing in more efficiency and transparency and at modernising administrative work. The project follows the state government’s directive to launch comprehensive e-governance programmes across all departments and municipal corporations. PMC has proposed to appoint a consultant for the project.
