Pune cyber crime cell busts fake call centre

Pune: The cyber crime cell of the Pune police on Saturday busted yet another fake call centre based in Delhi following the arrest of two men who allegedly ran it.

The suspects, Sonu Singh Ramesh Singh (25) of Haryana and Raman Negi (21) of New Delhi, ran the call centre in the name of a multinational bank and duped about 60 people across the country to the tune of about Rs 65 lakh promising them loans.

This is the ninth fake call centre exposed by the cyber crime cell in the last five months.
