TS govt to launch eHealth Initiative today

The Telangana government is going to launch the eHealth Initiative on a pilot basis at Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar district on Tuesday. Minister for IT and Communications K T Rama Rao will inaugurate the initiative along with Minister for Health Dr C Laxma Reddy. The basic idea is to connect the peripheral hospital with main district hospitals and teaching hospitals.

The subcomponent of initiative may include the laboratory services, radiology services and tele-consultation.  This initiative may bridge the gap of healthcare delivery across the state. Hewlett Packard is implementing this project. The equipment, which will be connected, may include the Auto analyser,  X-ray, Spiro meter and other medical equipments.
