37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
Visakhapatnam: Awareness is needed regarding the legal rights of women to prevent atrocities against them, said speakers at a meeting organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Gaytatri Cultural Welfare Society on Saturday.
The meeting was held to discuss at length about the ‘Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal diagnostic Techniques Act (PCPNDT) Act’. Principal district judge V Jayasurya said, “Though there are a number of hospitals and clinics in the city, the number of cases filed under the Act is minimal. Education of women is the key to their progress and awareness.”
