Government plans to have all Cabinet files including Cabinet notes in electronic format from next month. This is being seen as a major step towards creating paperless offices across the board at Centre.
“The government’s intention is that from January onwards, we must have all Cabinet files in an e-format. Normally, hard copies of bulky Cabinet files (notes) are circulated. They should be digitalized and computerized,” food minister Ram Vilas Paswan told ministry officials to mark the Good Governance Day on Wednesday.
