India to become second largest internet users base by December

As per IAMAI’s Internet in India 2015 report, this figure signifies a 49% growth in consumers compared to past year. By December, the total number of users is projected to reach 402 million, exceeding the 300 million total users in the United States and establishing India as the second largest online population in the world. Increase in Internet user base in India yields good in Digital industry and Ecommerce.

India’s internet user base will post a 49-per cent growth over past year, even as 375 million people used the internet in October 2015, it said. This makes India the second largest internet user base in the world behind China, but it is ranked first as the largest internet users in a free market democratic setup.

Meanwhile, China tops the list of internet users with more than 600 million numbers.
