37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
An online petition to show solidarity with Tamil writer Perumal Murugan, who was forced to give up writing in the wake of a controversy surrounding his novel ‘Mathorubhagan’ (One Part Woman), has received an overwhelming response from netizens across the country.
Murugan recently announced the death of the writer in him following a meeting convened by authorities where he had been forced to withdraw his book in the wake of protests by some fringe Hindu groups in Namakkal district.
