With NGO help, civil hospital gets CCTV surveillance

To help prevent petty thefts at the emergency ward of the city civil hospital, an NGO — Ehsas Charitable organization — has donated CCTV cameras to the hospital. Four such cameras were installed inside the emergency, at the reception and in the trauma ward on Thursday.

“We keep hearing of petty thefts in the emergency area and a few days back, copper wires of an AC were stolen. The CCTV cameras will now keep a check on who is doing all these activities,” said the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) at the hospital Dr Parwinder Singh Sidhu.
