37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
Digital India, a flagship programme of the Government of India, aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy-information technology on three key vision areas of ‘Infrastructure as a Utility to Every Citizen’, ‘Governance and Services on Demand’ and ‘Digital Empowerment of Citizens.’
To prepare the northeastern states in this regard, the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India organised a workshop on ‘Preparing North East for Digital India’ here on Wednesday.
