Indore : By the end of this year, people of Indore district, particularly those living in panchayats, would be able to get high-speed internet and online services under e-Governance as laying of optical fiber cable (OFC) is going on at full tilt.
In future, all 170 services, scheduled to be delivered online under e-Governance would be available on Internet.
Out of 335 gram panchayats, laying of OFC is over in 300 such panchayats, which is about 900 km. The target set by the government is 1200 km. The project, which started three years ago, is expected to be over by the year-end. At present, laying of OFC is going on in the blocks of Indore, Depalpur, Mhow and Sanver districts.
